I will tell you falling out of bed can prove interesting. I had two thoughts hit me at once. Why was the rat cage on the floor with the rat looking up at me with big eyes, and why was I seeing it from a spot higher than my bed? The next two thoughts were 'Why were their guys in my bedroom strapping me down and why was my head wet?'

The answer to all those questions proved to be of a singular nature and answered those and so much more questions of the evening.

Seizure

I had gone to bed very tired after working all day and barely sleeping the night before. I told my daughter that I would lay down for a few hours then went up to bed. I remember laying down then after a little while waking up with the thought of going to the bathroom. But that I was too tired so... nothing.

At some point I had fallen out of bed butt first and hit my head on the book shelves that were against the wall. After that I had falled to the right and hit the door closing it. My daughter heard a crash either from my hitting the door or when my foot kicked over the chester drawers knocking down the rat cage... remember the rat was looking at me from the floor in his cage. Apparently the door had been closed or he would of been loose.

She had tried to open the door but I was in the way. So as luck would have it there was another door to the bathroom she used and found me in a pool of blood. I will say she had a cool head and called 911. She saw that I was having a seizure and was able to assist the guys as well as get my id and medical cards from my purse.

Needless to say the wet on my head was blood the pain came a few hours later. Poor Myle had to see me in the ER where he worked. My daughter had gone up to tell him once we arrived at the medical center. A few hours later and several staples in my head we were home.

The doctors still don't know why it happened only that so far nothing is showing that I had a seizure or what triggered it. My neck and back is bothering me and they have me on anti-seizure meds. Of course since it was documented the State of Florida has taken hold of my drivers licence for the next 6 months. This is the first time in 30 years I have not been able to drive. It is a weird feeling.

Both my daughter and Myle have been great. I'm back at work but they are still watching over me. I'm taking things one day at a time right now and trying to get back in to the swing of things. My back has started to bother me more so will have that looked at and my neck. As for my head it is all healed up and just a matter of the doctors to tell me what the tests have shown.

In the mean time I'm not doing much artwork for now. I plan to get back into it but for now it is all on hold. -Jaz
